Command Post Drill Exercise
In this form of exercise, the clients’ internal response organization is activated and a script is developed based on an agreed upon scenario. ERMC uses a simulation centre to provide inputs to the clients emergency response organization. The actions and response to those inputs are then evaluated. This “simulates” the company’s internal reaction to an emergency and allows the client to exercise specific areas of their organization. Eg. practice communications between field and corporate offices, practice crisis communication and media relations during events etc.
There is no activation of external third party responders and, depending on the complexity, different levels of activation from internal resources occur.

Full Scale Simulation Exercise
In these exercises, mobilization of the client’s emergency response organization takes place in response to a “real” emergency that is simulated. For example, an empty bus is turned over in the street and “casualties” are made up to look real. Responders are then mobilized and scripted inputs given to the client’s EOC. The client’s emergency response efforts are then evaluated in the field, at the EOC and at the corporate level as determined by the scale of the exercise.
ERMC is experienced in planning, conducting and evaluating full scale exercises on a scale that includes over 500 responders, multiple mutual aid partners, corporate offices located on multiple continents and numerous third party agencies including, police, fire, emergency medical services, security, defence, operations, IT and internal and external providers.
