Paul has over 24 year of experience in Emergency Preparedness and Response. He is recognized as an industry leader in Emergency Response and is the President of ERMC.
Paul's professional experience includes delivering Emergency Planning and Preparedness consulting to literally hundreds of clients in industry and government. His areas of expertise include: hazardous material audits, risk identification, plan development, plan audits, training, exercises and full-scale simulations. He also consults organizations on crisis communications, incident command, emergency operations centres, and equipment requirements for emergency response.

Ed Wendlandt, B.Sc., M.Sc
Ed joined ERMC in 2003 after a distinguished career in the Canadian military that included responsibility for and delivery of Emergency Response. As Manager, Service Delivery, he is active in consulting with clients on emergency planning, auditing, preparing training resources, exercises and training delivery. Mr. Wendlandt is also fully experienced in working with clients on Incident Command and Emergency Operations Centre set up, training and operation. He also has worked with clients on Buinsess Continuity Plan development.
Specifically, Ed has emergency preparedness and response experience with clients across all industries, including oil & gas, utilities, chemical, transportation and government.

Barry Hawryluk M.A., CFE, CBCP
Barry joined ERMC after spending 4 years as the Managing Consultant, Security and Business Continuity at IBM Canada. Prior to that, he spent 3 years as the Head of Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery at the BBC in London England. His experience also includes over 20 years as the Director of Corporate Security for the Telus group of companies. Barry is also a 9 year veteran of the RCMP.
Barry’s varied experience in business continuity and security includes work in virtually all sectors of the economy including health care, banking, insurance, and the energy sector. He has worked on projects relating to business continuity strategies, risk assessments and risk tolerance, business continuity planning, information technology, labour relations, corporate security, and integrating business continuity with emergency response. His work reflects years of experience in both the private and public sectors.

Bruno Cornejo
Bruno has over 8 years of Emergency Preparedness and Planning experience, all of it with ERMC. His experience in working with virtually our entire client base gives him a broad perspective in addressing the Emergency Response needs of our customers. This experience also allows him to draw on a variety of client events and valid scenarios ensuring practical and effective delivery of services.
Bruno has specific skills in working with clients on audits, emergency plan development, training and exercise development and delivery. He also delivers Incident Command and Emergency Operations Centre training.

Jeff Gill, BA. MA
Jeff joined ERMC in 2005 and has extensive emergency preparedness and response experience. Completing 12 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, he participated in operational tours in Kosovo and Bosnia, as well as domestic operations during the Quebec Ice Storms in 1998, the forest fires of British Columbia in 2003, and the floods of Southern Alberta in 2005. During these activities he held positions responsible for training, evaluation, planning, and operations for up to one thousand personnel.
Jeff's background also includes experience with plan development, exercise planning, risk assessment, inter-agency liaison, and instructional technique. He is also a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross, where he works on developing emergency preparedness and response plans as a part of the Alberta region’s Disaster Response Team.

Dave Martin
Dave is a Consultant with ERMC. His expertise includes risk assessments, developing emergency response plans, pandemic planning, training and exercising. In addition, Dave has specific expertise in fire fighting, EMS, fire pre planning, and response.
A former Fire Chief at the Michener Centre in Red Deer, Deputy Fire Chief for City of St. Albert and the Chief Training Officer for the City of Medicine Hat, Dave possesses over 30 years of direct emergency response and emergency management experience. This experience includes work as an instructor in fire casualty simulation, CBRN First Responder Training, Fire Investigations, High Angle Rescue and Sprinkler Systems Design.

Marcel Adamkewicz
Marcel's experience includes municipal disaster services and industrial emergency response management. This includes the development of a municipal Disaster Services Plan, Industrial ERP and Industrial Pandemic Plan.
A former Emergency Response Specialist with Alberta EnviroFuels Inc., Marcel has 15 years of direct experience in fire fighting (Industrial / Strategy & Tactics), Technical Rescue, and emergency management. Marcel served on the executive of the Strathcona District Mutual Assistance Program (SDMAP), most recently as Chairman. He is intimately familiar with pipeline and facility ERP requirements and response and the integration of industrial response within mutual aid frameworks.
Marcel has numerous certifications in Level II Firefighting, Fire Ground Leadership (Strategy and Tactics), Industrial Incident Command, Modern Safety Management, Accident / Incident Investigation (DNV-ILCI) and most recently an Emergency Management certificate through the Justice Institute of BC.

Bruce Hertz, B.Sc., MBA
Bruce is the Manager of Business Development for ERMC. He has worked on a wide variety projects within ERMC including development of the online learning and research tool, exercise/drill participation and evaluation, report development, and plan writing.
Bruce has also participated in numerous training workshops including: Crisis Communications, Business Continuity, Mutual Aid Response, EOC’s and Pandemic Planning for communities.
Bruce has a strong background in business planning and consulting. A former partner in a management consulting firm (11 years), his experience includes strategic planning, operational plans and training delivery. In addition, he has experience in working with a variety of for profit and not profit organizations in designing and implementing change management processes.
